Statement from the artist: 

It’s rare that we grant ourselves moments to fully pause to reflect, discern and reset. For many folks, 2020 has been a year that has led with an overwhelming abundance of those moments of discovery. This current series of gouache paintings pay homage to the quiet places, the long distance drives, and the sometimes fleeting opportunities we receive when we embark on a solo quest to find comfort through discomfort, retrace our steps, and allow ourselves permission to start anew.
